Isabella Zampetaki, food&travel writer and author, hosts this one-of-a-kind cooking class in The Artist Hotel’s Cellar in downtown Athens.
Surrounded by the cellar’s mystique, you will discover big and small secrets about real Greek food.
Isabella is a great cultural storyteller and an avid cook and will guide you into preparing five dishes typical of what us Greeks share around our Sunday table.
This authentic homestyle dinner will then be served on the Artist’s rooftop restaurant, with a stunning view of the Acropolis.
What’s on the menu
Apart from learning cooking secrets applicable to any recipe you prepare at home, you will immerse yourself in a fun, storytelling experience about the essence of Greek food. And you will take away with you the recipes of all dishes prepared, along with Isabella’s tips about amazing secret food spots in Athens.
Isabella’s secret cooking class takes place every Wednesday at 4pm in The Artist Hotel’s Cellar, 7 Kalamida str, Monastiraki metro.
It lasts three hours, followed by dinner with a stunning view of the Acropolis and costs 140 euros per person.

Isabella takes you on a storytelling journey through olive groves, mountain tops and shepherds’ huts and shares some of Greece’s most iconic local products.
Her food storytelling inspired awarded chef Gikas Xenakis to create a fine dining four-course menu based on Cretan traditions with wine pairing from indigenous grape varieties.
